Yes have thought of changing my seats to something else , but at 6'1 i didn't fit in the car properly with the standard seats (long body)so i did the standard sparco sprint change which put me another 2 inchs lower so i can now see the lights when i stop (used to almost be eye level with the top of the windscreen) . Have thought about changing to the non adjustable seats bolted to the floor which will put me even lower in the car and allow my helmet to be under the roll bar during racing , but all this is beside the point that if the car isn't useable as a daily driver for me (atm) and even with the low bolster seats it will still require a fair bit of gymnastics to get into the car (atm i can just step over the door into the car with the top down) with the top up or the hard top on.
your about my height, i have Corba Monaco S seats, and a cusco 4 point rollbar which pushes the seat a fair way forward, i can still manage to get out and fit a helmet under the softtop. maybe try those seats, or just put up with the inconvience of getting out of the mx-5.
