Adjusting Koni shocks

Postby Patrick » Sun Aug 10, 2008 3:13 pm

I am dismantling a damaged NA which has yellow Konis that I want to fit to my ride. Can anyone supply me with instructions on how to adjust ride height or tell me where I can get the instructions.

Adjusting Koni shocks

Postby Garry » Sun Aug 10, 2008 4:05 pm

Remove the spring or use a spring compressor to compress it then slide the bottom spring perch along the shock body to reveal a circlip on the shock body. Move the circlip to the desired groove in the shock body then slide the bottom spring perch back till it rests on the circlip and reinstall the spring or remove the spring compressor. Each groove changes the ride height around 12mm I think.

Thanks Garry. It all becomes logical when someone in the know tells where to look. Fronts are where I want them but the rears are higher and will need adjusting when I get them off. Cheers.
