Danny seems to know that the "egr" has been disconnected and the installer should not disable something without consulting the customer. I would be asking that this be suitably rectified.
I would also perhaps ask Danny or one of the other informed forumites whether the egr can be reconnected and still retain the exhaust mod

same thing happened to me mate. To be honest it has not really effected my car that I have noticed. Does anyone know what may happen in this case?

im going to highjack the thread now.

going on the same topic of aftermarket exhausts, any good suggestions as to where to buy from?

been looking at the N*Power, and it only offers (on the site) headers and the muffler. where would one get the cat and the rest of the piping?
and gains for this?

and earlier in the thread, someone mentioned i think mx5 mania or was it mx5 plus doing a complete system for $1300.
how does that compare.?

thaaankksss. :D

ORX-626 and I have just done this to our cars. We bought the N*Power cat and rear muffler and X-Force extractors. The centre section can be made from 1 4 foot length of tube and a single 45 degree mandrel bend, both suitablly cut. Add to this 4 flanges (2 for cat and one to muffler EDIT: 1 more to connect cat to rear section  ) and you have your system. We upgraded the flanges to 3 bolt so we needed 6 and spent the extra time welding.

A decent exhaust shop should be able to put the bits together for you and fabricate the centre section in a few hours. See the my rides section for our cars to see.

It is barely louder than stock at idle and cruising....but jeez it sounds fantastic at WOT!!! It's louder of course when you're up it, but certainly not obnoxious...doesn't appear to drone either. The sound coming from the exhaust will not draw unwanted attention when driving how the public expects one to drive :D.

I'm absolutely stoked with the improvement in top end performance when compared to the standard system. Bare in mind that the complete exhaust was replaced.

Cheers,
Danny
