perhaps your eyes are inadequate? it would be considerably shortsighted to hypothesise about the construction of this thing without examining it first hand, and rather foolish to be basing your judgement upon what is by your own assertion an inadequate picture and description.

Rain - This link does not as far as I can see nominate what the product is made of. It looks to me be plastic and metal. If you know what is and its construction then by all means share your knowledge because so far you have not added any value to this subject.

Marcusus you are right about the text- they even go on to describe it as "one off". That actually means there is only one. They also say it is "hand crafted" whatever that means.

I did not miss them PUR but none of us is the wiser- if the guy has one what is it? The link was in the very first post and Marcusus quoted from it so it must be there or is it. .....

This post is going downhill fast due to shortminded posts. The text on the website actually says "Add the look of trick, hand crafted, one off race parts to your MX-5. The Fuel Lid Door Kits are as functional as they are stylish. Installed in about 10 minutes using existing mounting holes. Uses your standard remote lid opener."

You may note the fact that it says "add the look" which in no way implies that it is a "one off" piece and when it is read as a whole rather than out of context the sentence makes perfect sense. I certainly can find no criticism in it's use of English. Mr Morlock, instead of criticising something you have no idea about based on what you think is going on, you should use your skills at typing to send them an email and ask them what it is made of. Not that it matters to you as you have already expressed in several posts that you would never buy anything you couldn't touch and examine with your own hands first. While this is a fine attitude to have not all people follow the same direction and some people enjoy being able to purchase products that aren't available from Australian retailers. What they don't need is someone saying that it looks like cheap nasty plastic instead of the high quality product that it is.

This is one of my favourite parts suppliers for mx5 parts which is why I am ranting a little bit. Everything they have sent me has been of very high quality and most of the time has been half the price of what I can get here and that includes the cost of postage. I don't personally believe you would buy something like this in the first case so I can't see why you posted in the first place

I realised after I quoted that I shouldn't have taken it out of context, but I then also realised that it'd be much more fun to leave it taken out of context and see what happened :P

That being said, even within the context of the rest of the sentence, it still doesn't quite make sense. What the hell is "trick"? I have nothing against the rest of the sentence. It makes perfect sense. Perhaps it's just a bit of English colloquialism that I've never heard of before... something along the lines of tricked up, but just shortened.

Anyway, let the COW continue

Lol Marcusus  . Fancy is another word for trick so when read that way it makes sense. Yours wasn't the post I was really objecting to though. Learn something new everyday huh. Well done on the baiting
