Removing Door Sills on an NB

Postby tuned_to_fly » Mon Jul 28, 2008 3:11 pm

Howdi. Could someone please post up how exactly to remove the door sills on a 98 NB. I'm sure its fairly easy to do but I always like to check before I go trying things for the first time.

Ive tried searching and I cant find any posts or an online workshop manual anywhere... If someone knows the whereabouts of an online manual that would be great too - don't really feel the need to pay $100 for one when I had online versions for my previous cars.

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Brad

No screws on the NB sills, they just clip on. Grab hold of it, it's a little easier to get your fingers under it on the carpet side, and pull straight up.

You are I assume talking about sill scuff plates. Screws holding in place are visible. The sills are part of your body structure and are welded in place. Removal and replacement of a sill may occur as a result of crash damage.

nb sills are just clips, get your hands under it, one on each end and pull, it should just pop out.
