My new SE

Postby Fuzzlet » Sun Jul 27, 2008 5:46 pm

Well after some time I'm not back into an MX5. Some Sydney folk might know Bill Dougall, and well this was his car. Only picked it up on Friday afternoon. Its an 04 model SE. Has the leather seats but standard audio (for now). Has 21,600kms on the clock. Has been modified with:
-AEM intake
-Bigger intercooler
-SP Motorsport Exhaust
-BD bar

Currently puts down around 130rwkw, which is enough for now. Future mods will be to upgrade the brakes (slotted rotors and decent pads) and maybe do the suspension. Other than that, just enjoy the car and try to avoid the bug to get crazy levels of power out of it

Unfortunately, less than 24hrs after picking it up, I had some woman pull out infront of me giving me hardly any room to stop....

Damage wasnt *too* bad, in that I could drive the car home, but it'll need a new headlight, bumper, bonnet, LH front guard. Claim has been put through with Shannons, who have (unofficially for now) said that she is at fault. Car got towed off to Hume Smash repairs this afteroon

Man, that sucks :( I hope you weren't hurt in any way, and hopefully the car won't take too long to get fixed.

 I feel your pain
Hopefully it's back good as new in no time, that's what I love about comprehensive no hassles if someone else is at fault because they will chase it up and fix your car anyway

 I'm surprised you're not up on assault charges! Your brand new beautiful baby ... I feel your pain.

The SE does look good in Velocity Red doesn't it? My hubby has one with similar mods and it rocks *purr*

Hope you get to enjoy it once it comes back from the Panelbeater.
