Braided Brake Lines? worth it?
Hi all
Just seeing what your thoughts are regarding braided brake line, are they worth installing? I've came across numerous reviews that recons they're a waste of money, they recon there's no noticeable pedal improvement, are they even road legal here in QLD?
Cheers

Its around the $200 mark for ss lines (ADR aproved) + 8 bucks for new fluid.
I just installed mine about 2 weeks ago (2001 NB8B). I think the older your OEM lines the more difference you will notice. Considering old lines will give and expand more.
I do notice a difference in \"firmness\" I had to bleed in new fluids so that may also have contributed to the more \"firm feel\". I estimate its around 10% more firm, dont have to press the pedal as deep to have bite etc.
Its not a missive wow difference but overall Im happy I installed the ss lines.

If you press the pedal hard on old lines you can visibily see the lines expand in that case surely it cant be a 1% differnece.
bloody hell wun!!!........your eyesight must be unbelievable, no WAY brake line expansion is visible to the naked eye
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often

I would say thats got more to do with reliablity under extreme conditions then how much they expand - that and manufacturors of road cards don't do it on a lot of cars because its more expensive and the normal lines work just fine.
98 evo gold - rotrexed and loving it.
