now that the tax return is on its way, im looking into a cat back, single tip exhaust for my NB8B.
is there any brands people recomend? and off the shelf brands?
i sont want it too loud, just want to make it sound a bit more sportier and if there is a gain in kw ill be happy.
from what i have read 2.25 is the size to go.
I was looking at the Mazdaspeed ones on MX mania site. has anyone used them?

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Mania do a full 2.5in system with X-force headers and high flow cat for around $1300. I was speaking with Dave at mania, and he said it made a noticeable difference. I'm dropping my car in today.

hmm...i'm thinking for NA, 2.5inch might be a little too large. Stock are 2inch with some really strange bends, so i reckon a 2.25 inch system straight through (relatively) would be ideal. i've got it and it appears to rev easier to the top.

I've got a 2.5in system for my nb8a, built by mx5 mania, and I think it's perfect. When it was finished it was put on the Dyno and it made 93rwkw with just an exhaust and intake. The whole system (with Xforce stainless headers and high flow cat) will set you back $1400 installed.
