Looks like I'm free tomorrow so I will join you and pick up Mrs Bigdog from her mum's place in Blackheath on the way through. Beware ice on the road anywhere from Kurrajong to Megalong (look carefully at any spots the sun doesn't reach, and it can be a problem right through the morning if it is cold enough), and the locals often use more than their share of the road between Megalong and Shipley, so watch for cars heading up the hill. Traffic coming home down the GWH will become a pain after 2.00pm, so make sure you are past Katoomba by then. See you in the morning.

The 6am start thing - I'm realistically thinking we'll be getting on the road around 6:15-6:30 after everyone arrives and gets a vague idea of where to go.
Just to recap, the route will be from Penrith to Springwood, then back down to Richmond, then Bells Line of road to Mt Victoria and on to Megalong Valley.
Depending on the road conditions and what sort of time we are making, we could go via Lithgow and back up Victoria Pass.
I don't want to arrive at the tea rooms too early as they only open at 9am.
