Minh, if you already haven't, please have a read of the descriptions of the 2 clutch installs we have done.
Didn't have a hoist but used the pit at my parents place.
Fastfreddy's install...took a bit of time
and
Fatty's NA6 install - the second time- but not much faster

Just remember...there are 11 bolts holding the gearbox to the engine. Numbber 11 is a pia
enjoy

This is what it looks like on trial fit; flywheel, Exedy standard 1.8 clutch (MDZ052U), matching pressure plate, screw are hand tight.

This will sound very dump for those whose been there before but, is there suppose to be this 5mm grab in between pressure plate and flywheel :S? is this normal? will it come down nicely when torqued up?

Yes this is normal. the last bit of tightening compresses the spring, so the bolts will be tight to do up, but with out it, your clutch would slip.

Machine a flywheel is it like the same as machine a rotor? Is there a minimum thickness for a flywheel? A flywheel isnt a heat sink so I guess you could shave more off? (searched but cant find)
