another weid engine problem

Postby silvermiata » Wed Jul 09, 2008 5:10 pm

i was driving back home last nite (nb8a) and it felt like engine has not much power on the entire rev range.. feels like a vacuum leak or afm problem of some sort.. this morning i looked in the engine bay and fiddled around with all the sensor plugs, and it feels like car is back to normal now...

there is no wierd revving on idle.. but my engine always had some sort of flatspot around 3000 rpms.. it felt like that flat spot was for the entire rev range last nite...

has anyone experienced this before? i feels like electrical (sensor problem) to me??

Does it sound different? It could be a worn/bad spark plug or lead that is not giving spark and thus one cylinder is inoperative.

If it sounds \"beefier\" (like a WRX or V8 ) then it could be bad sparkage.

Spark plugs are not screwed in all that tight so best to start there.
