yeah maybe a female cop, but a male one ? i highly doubt it but still if they are adr (or higher) approved you shouldnt have any problems, if you do slug a fine then no panic as the officer was obviously on a power trip not listening or reading the label on the seat, you can go to your local mechanic, pull out some papers stating what the seats are approved are under and done. make sure you test fit some seats too, i didnt do this but i do love my seats, i sat in my mates sparco sprint and it is hasnt got much room for me, and the side bolsters come up too high for my liking, all personal prefference though.

As well as the seat itself, it is the mounting of the seat which has to be approved. So, MXHEVN/Crocaine, you have to get it all approved whether you like it or not. There would be dodgy bastards out there who would try and mount a seat on a few flimsy pieces of sheet metal, hell they might even mount a Sparco Sprint that way, doesn't make it legal, and certainly doesn't make it safe to have that seat in the car.

Plenty of people here have gained approval for mounting their after market seats, if you want one, get it approved FFS!! Simple. If you don't get it approved, especially knowing how easy it is to get approved, don't be surprised if you get a defect for it, and certainly don't come back here crying to all of us about what bastards cops are because you got done. Get it approved, you can then drive around without worrying about whether you might get a defect for it.... Oh, and your insurance company won't be able to reject a claim based on a seat which isn't approved.
