Meet Mischa

Postby sliq » Tue Jul 01, 2008 8:53 pm

Hey Guys,

I've been trying to get photos of Mischa up but I've been waiting for certain parts to come through (which haven't... YET).

Anyways, I bought Mischa from this 40 year old mid life crisis bloke up around Gladesville area, Sydney. He was married and had his second child on the way and his wife wouldn't stop hounding him to offload the 5, so he sold it to me :D Mischa was sold to me stock as a block in January 2007. She is a 2000 NB8B (one of the very first NB8B's released).

The first mod were scuff plates, sold by Rodd Clarke off the forum. Much of the parts were from other forumites, so credits goes to Boags, NMX516, AB7, 1red5 and bensale. Nonetheless, in came other mods such as:

Exterior:

OEM front mud flaps
OEM rear boot spoiler
OEM washer nozzles
Custom number plate bracket
Stebel air horn
HID 6000k
LED parker lights and boot lights
Garage Vary front lip spoiler

Interior:

Stainless steel vent rings
OEM scuff plates
Pearl voodoo shift knob
LED interior lights

Performance:

Custom cold air intake
SMB cat back

BEFORE: When I first bought Mischa, she looked a little like this

AFTER

With Garage Vary front lip spoiler fitted:

Vent rings:

Voodoo pearl gear knob:

Mischa's backside and exhaust:

Before: old interior light

After: new interior light

Last but not least, my first mod...

At the end of the day, what still amazes me, is that we're all brought here together because of one common interest: the legendary MX5..

wow she is very very nice, I actually really like the navy (don't know what the colour is really called).
As everyone seems to agree, the spoiler is GREAT and the HIDs look awesome with the car colour, brings it all together nicely.

Nice clip, sounds bit like my car used to...

I see you've put your vent rings on already.

nice car man..Mischa looks hot haha.

Those scuff plates are excellent. Are they always available for purchase, and how much does a pair set you back?
I want some now :P

That is an awesome looking car Sliq, nicely modified too. The colour is fantastic, I haven't seen too many like that.
