949 Racing Urethane Bushings

Hey guys,

Just wanted to know if anyone has fitted, or know any information about the urethane bushings that 949 racing sell for the MX5? They are made by a company called Energy Suspension, and are a very good price.

Interesting to see that these bushes are all cut in half, rather than a full piece like the SuperPro ones. Not sure if it makes any difference in handling, but they will sure make putting them on 100x easier

Price is very good, as well as their Tein Flex and Mono Flex. Mono Flex for $2335 delivered! :shock:

looks like they have quite a few customers from OZ cause it says \"Mazda MX5 specialists\" and it states a specific Australian shipping quote at the bottom of the add.

This is a quote from the link..

These are two piece bushings designed to create a .050" gap between the two halfs when installed. This small gap acts as a lube reservoir.

I think I might have to get a set, and do a writeup on the forums..

Wow, that is a pretty good price.

I'd order a set now, but I'm a little worried about the hardness. Aren't the Superpro bushes regarded by some people as being too hard and harsh already?

wow half the price of super pros.

I like the idea of sticky grese Im too lazy to take em out to re grease them.

Although a cut in half may go in more easly the problem and time consuming part is getting the old ones out.

Want to install them on dodgy day??

I've been thinking hard about these over the weekend.

After reading the post, and then browsing the 949 website I noticed ONE thing.

They are cheaper to buy direct from the 949 website. Listed there as $170 for the set ($188 Aust), the current price on eBay works out to be more expensive. :shock:

i find the superpros to be very stiff in my car, so i'd be a bit worried abut these being even harder again.

Minh, give me a call when you are installing it. I want to help as I am very interested to find out first hand the degree of difficulty of changing bushes.
