I installed a Torsen type 1 the other week and it has given my NA a new lease on life.
I installed a 3.9 TorSen II in my NB8B and it is amazing. I got it with the speedo sender from MX5 Plus. Excellent mod; you don't realise how much slip there is until it is gone!

lets hear from someone who has them or knows 100%
Josh, STM, mine came off an NB and the fronts have them, but the rears look like they don't.
Correction. Your fronts have 3(clip is on the middle), rears have 2(clip on bottom, hard to see top groove). Saw it when we did you diff.

Shocks: - bilstein non adjustable
Springs: clubman gt springs
Strut brace(s): - unknown brand, but its an adjustable strut brace
Sway bar(s): front - 25.5mm (2 way adj) - rear 19.5mm (3 way adj)
Other:(i.e rollbar, fm brace's, bushes etc)
BD roll bar, power-flex preformance bushes, g/box brace, (about to get rear chassis bracing aswell)
Benifits: it handels better. very stiff
Price(s): unknown. majority of it is 2nd hand
bushes ~$550, 2 x sway bars $50, shocks & springs $400, BD $450
Why: (what made you do it?) - i wanted a car that would be fast around corners and make up for the lack of speed in the engine.

Suspension
Hi for what it is worth on my 1995 NA I run, on the street.
KYB's
Pedders springs
Whiteline front bar
FCM bump stops
Wheels 15x7 with yokohamas.
I did have cut down bump stops. The improvement with the FCM's is amazing.
The KYB's are set at 5F 4R and it is quite acceptable.
Regards
Steve

Tein SS: originals were stuffed (two people = ride on bump stops), highly recomended, thought if replacing do it properly. result: firm but good ride, little flatter in turns, less unsettled mid corner bumps (the old suspension you could load it up onto the bump stops then you were away but hit a bump and game over).
Whiteline adjustable front and rear swaybars: to stop body roll, works very well, big difference to body roll and fun factor but to outright grip???
Racing beat lower control arm brace at front: does improve turn in feel/ more direct steering
rear suspension brace (home made): improved rear end tighness
BD roll bar: some further rear end tighness, suspension works better instead of shaking the car???
cusco lsd: greatly improved corner exit traction, really squats and goes, none of that cocking the inside rear, did make it more tailie
wheel alignment: initial improved cornering ability ++ then after lsd increased rear toe in and rear negative camber greater than front = more controlled rear end
would like a FM butterfly brace (should improve scuttle shake and tie the whole car together front, rear and get the suspension working better)
Car now has more suspension grip then tire grip ( some feel that tire grip > suspension grip provides a better/ safer driving feel) have 205/50/15 yokohama s-drive would like falken rt615s (car does too many km at the moment to justify)
like everyone says, wheel alignment was best bang for buck, teins were the best improvement for me because the originals were stuffed then lsd was the next best thing.
Don't forget that the mx-5 handles reasonably well from the factory and that tires are the only contact with the road so no point spending money on suspension if you are running black rocks. i found a big difference going to 195/50/15 kuhmo ku31 from the original 185/60/14 uniroyal ...... tuff as nails crap

buttwrx or anyone, have you dríven a car with a KAAZ LSD as well? The Cusco Type MZ and the KAAZ are both around the same price at Nengun at the moment and I'm looking to buy one.
