My Mx5 is looking lovely again!

Postby CheyneX5 » Wed Jun 18, 2008 4:52 pm

well as we all know my 5 got hit by angry car the other week, but today i am proud to say it is all in working order again and looks perfect..(well... almost  )

james at the mx5 center did the headlights and bent the original top red plates back into place so they now function and look pretty good after a bit of touch up paint went on. he also let me swap my wood trim including nardi wood steering wheel, gear surround, 2 vent rings, door strips and a radio/ac surround for a new nardi leather wheel (same as the wood one but with leather and silver spokes) and some badges i was missing.

this morning i took it to dick at mx5factory and he fitted the replacement fender which just happened to be red :D.

and i also thank ben (meanmx) for the very kind donation of the side mirror.

all up.... headlights - $200 fender+fitting+polish_touchuppaint - $290

Happy as!!! Photos coming soon

Great to hear and fantastic so see so many people kick in to help you out.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Good Cheyne- many \"posters\" never bother with the follow ups and we all like happy endings.

anyone else see this line as just a little bit funny when they first read it???

But regardless - after last week's cockup - it's good to hear it's fixed - balls and all and back to being the duck's nuts :D
