Yes... finally zaw... finally... I'm almost ashamed of myself having it sit on my garage floor for so long... XD All good now!
I'll be truthful... I'm abit cardigan so Terence fits better. Besides I have a friend that's called Terry... and our friends have a hard enough time dealing with that...
Yeah... \"Ter/z\" people really do have the best taste in cars...

Anyone have any advice on the extractor clearance? Pretty please?

It's been a crap day in Sydney today so I've found some time to update my thread...

This is just a photo of the shiny new tip on my Exhaust
I still love the sound this thing makes...

Image

About a month ago I was struck by the \"Crappy MX5 radiator\" disease... so off to Mania I went to buy a Cooling Pro radiator
Unfortunately they gave me one of those \"not so easy to fit\" ones... or maybe my car wasn't accommodating... but with a little bit of force it eventually dropped in (the problem yet again is fouling with the screws on the bottom of the AC core...) Along with a new thermostat the car is now running well!
Bling fanatics would just love this...

Image

Lastly... For all the non-smoker NA drivers out there who are wondering just what the hell to do with that ashtray... (and who have heard that the cupholders are not the most ergonomically designed things out there...!)

Image

If you can't really tell I lined it with that non stick foamy matty kinda stuff so it turns into a nice little knic knac cubby! (the smallest things amuse me for hours... also the crack on the top is purely optional! )

Until I get abit more liquidity to buy some proper brand rims... at last I've finished my Stage 1 Modifications
(Can you tell I was brought up on a steady diet of Gran Turismo? )

Here's my clubbie with a new hat, and a deleted set of reflectors (facilitated by 1red5)

PS I promise I won't polish the bar too much...

Yeah... the way my Bilsteins are going... I think I might find my way into some Teins...
But that would necessitate me finding my way into some money... *sigh

Well I stumbled across this item from a JDM importer and I just had to have it... my original driver seat was on its way out anyway... =(
It was a tad exxy, and a little fiddly to fit, being ex-japan
All up was $500ish with rails and fitting kit shipped to my door... the blood and sweet and acrobatics required to fit it were free...
Eventually dropped straight in!

Initial verdict, I really like it, it holds on to you quite firmly without grabbing you and the bolstering is very supportive... It is built for slighter people though
Im just over 60kilos and any bigger you start fighting with the bolstering
I might report back in about a couple of weeks for a long term review...

PS shout out to Daniel aka Rupewrecht for the purchase of the seat!
He's a great guy to deal with

Thanks!

Best not to think how much JDM tax you'd be charged on a pair...

It's been many moons since I dropped myself into Zawrillas Sprint Jr. and my memorys not the best... But I'll do my best to recall
Firstly his seat sits alot lower than the standard MX5 seat, whereas the Mazdaspeed is roughly stock height (some sources suggest a slight raise even but I didn't notice it)
I think the nature of my seat is more as a touring seat (it's a recliner after all) so where the Sprint Jr would grab you and hold you in place, my seat just offers support when you are going to be sliding around... get what I mean?
When you're in place I think the sprint would be a better racing seat, but getting in and out I think is easier on mine
With my short stubby legs though, my elbow grazes the side bolster when I go to change gear... this may start to grate after a while...
Ummm... but there's a generous thickness of lumbar padding

In the end though I think the seat is just an appropriate fit for my build... so it all boils down to personal opinion
If you would like to have a test sit one of these days you are welcome...!

Awesome looking seat Terence.

The seat looks much more padded then my one. It would be a lot more comfortable day to day but still providing excellent support. The one thing I really dislike about the Sparco is the lack of back support which is horrible for day to day driving.. I can't feel it much now, but a few years like this and I'll have a nice hunch later on.

And yes.. don't you hate short legs. Because of the way the seat is designed, and being a fixed back, I have to sit at a position that is just slightly too close for my arms, but perfect for my legs.. or perfect for my arms, but slightly too far for my legs.

Overall though, your seat is sexy. Love it.
