issue with brakes/driveline

Postby stevesports » Sat Jun 07, 2008 2:02 pm

Hey guys, i have an issue with the brakes (at least that's what i think it is)

When i brake, the front left or right ( i think it is both) is making this knock sound. This happens once only. If i take my foot off the brake and reapply the brake, it doesn't make teh sound anymore. I'm not too sure what this is exactly.

i think it is the brake pads unsticking to something? i'm not too sure.

cheers for the help.

nah. It isn't the ABS. There is no difference in brake feel.

Could be a loose bolt or something.

Also, do you have the springs and shims on the pads?

Could be your suspension bushes clunking.

I had a loose brake line make a similar noise one, was taping on the body. Check the springs as already mentioned and that everything is done up tight.
