This is an accedent damaged 5 being used as a parts donor!
Want to do all check before remove from wreck.
Does any one know with a NA8A where both air bags deployed, does that automatically shut off the Fuel pump?
If so how do you reset to allow the engine to be started again. If this is not the case can anyone think of a reason it won’t even turn over. The only damage to the wiring I can find is the O2 sensor which has the wires torn out so cannot be reconnected and the Earth block behind LHS head light has been broken, but re-established.
Any thoughts would be helpful
Thanks
Andrew

NA8A's had airbags? Are you sure about that? I thought NB's were the first to have airbags...
Anyway, could be many reasons for it not starting. Silly question perhaps, but is the battery connected properly? First thing the Fire dept do when they get to an accident scene is isolate the battery. They will chop through any wiring etc they feel is necessary to do so.
The O2 sensor might* have something to do with it. I could foresee that some computers would not allow an engine to start if all sensors aren't working, i.e connected. Can you temporarily plug in an O2 sensor off the other car?
I assume the car has manual transmission... If not, the car might have to be in \"park\" before starting, and wiring to the gearbox could be damaged...
Good luck!
