NB struts into NA. Anything tricky?

I will be installing Konis & Eibach from an NB into my NA. Is there anything tricky about it?
Will the brake lines foul anything?

They came with the NB strut tops/hats so no spring compressors needed.

Straight forward yeah?

i know fat cat motorsports sell top hats that let you fit nb suspension to an na. dunno if the stock nb ones just bolt on or not.

The NB suspension bolts straight in...the only thing is they have a longer bolt at the top so they can be a bit tight to fit...I usually loosen the front lower arms at the inner mounts so they drop right out of the way.

just make sure you mark the adjusters before you loosen them so they go back in the same spot.

I thought you had to change the rear spring/perch mounts to make the shock shorter? If you don't the bum will sit up in the air :shock:

That is pretty much all that I was worried about.
Apparently you can get the Koni's re-threaded/re-collared so the perch sits lower.
I am crossing my fingers the Eibachssesses springs are lowered ones so at least I will have normal ride height if it does push the ass up.

Check with Uncle Arthur, I'm pretty sure that is what he had done to his buy Fulcrum. Makes the ride height adjustable with a threaded collar. Looked very good.

NB struts are in. No drama at all.

I took pics, but they are nothing special. I'll post them tomorrow from work as I only have 56k dial up at home.

John, so have you done yours yet?
If not then here are the big tips I got that were pretty much necessary in order to get it done right.

Front suspension:
- undo the big, long bolt that attaches the top wishbone to the chassis
- this will allow the top wishbone to drop down so you can angle the strut in
- undo the sway bar end-link so the front suspension can drop down even further
- you need to get someone to put a bit of weight onto the front suspension to bring it down a few centimetres whilst you fit the strut

Rear suspension:
- undo the bolt on the upper wishbone that connects it to the to top of the wheel hub
- undo the sway bar end link to, once again, allow the suspension to drop down further
- get someone who weighs at least 85kg to stand on the rear hub, thus pushing the suspension down, whilst you position the rear strut into place

It'll make more sense once you start to do it
