Wheel alignment and wheel/tyre sizes

Postby Gazbo » Tue May 27, 2008 9:17 am

Would you expect the wheel alignment to need tweaking if the wheels/tyres are changed?

For example, if a wheel alignment is done with 185/60/14s and I later put 205/50/15s on the car, does the alignment need to be adjusted for the extra width of the tyres?

The alignment doesn’t need to be change if you vary your rims.
You should however get a quality alignment atleast at every tyre change or every 18 months which ever come first. It doesn’t take a lot to throw it out.
