After a bit of lurking on the forums I have finally bothered to post a thread about my car.
Use to drive a mini cooper and now the owner of a Automatic hardtop NC.
Love the car to bits even though it is automatic since it is my everyday car.
Skidpan: Lots of body roll, difficult to get sideways.
Wakefield: Plenty of understeer, kept messing up the last corner but got it down by the end of the day.
Mods:
After the first skidpan day I decided to get some sway bars [custom made] as well as some polyurethane bushes.
The thickness of the after market rear however [18mm] caused the bottom bolts of the D bracket to snap which was a pain to fix since they were welded to the subframe.
Changed to high tensile bolts.
Future plans:
Bought an audio link cable for the ipod but besides that I am leaving the car pretty much stock since I am investing in a S13 [SR20DET] as a track car.

pictures are giving you that impression SM, the last 4 are all taken when the load & stress is on the opposite side to the camera
the one preceding those 4, the load is already starting to come off the drivers side, & the before THAT, well..........the car is at its extreme attitude, i'd suggest on the point of picking that drivers front off the tarmac.........seriously stressed suspension

Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often

Well the car was understeering a lot more than I was expecting. Like I said, got it down by the end of the day. Might invest in some coilovers soon but like I said, I would rather but my S13
Sasso wrote:cool. How does the automatic go on the track?
SM that's because of the massive braking G's. haha, Its not as bad as Gavin's though.
It wasn't too bad and the tiptronics is actually quite responsive [well in comparison to the mini] so I didn't have much problems on the track.
Although I did manage to stuff up the ABS and eventually the traction control turned itself off.

Ya did a good job of scaring your passenger
NA6T = Playtime | NC = Snooze

I haven't had the alignments done since I put the after market bars in initially. Will get one done when I get my tires in the near future =]

He did seem pretty scared most of the day, lucky I haven't asked him to come to a track day with me yet.
