Yes, I think a separate thread for the Solidworks stuff is the go (unless it's related to the Renesis NC project). Whilst, I find the Solidworks stuff facinating... I am more keen to see the next update on the Renesis engined NC project from this thread. :D

So when's the next installment Danny?

Full respect for your SW skills /hail. Did you measure all the dimensions yourself or did you have them available already? I find that measuring is the most frustrating part of recreating things in CAD and expecting them to fit to other bits.

Yep, measured the supercharger up myself. No 2D or 3D drawings available - I searched the net quite rigorously for info, but to no avail.

The Beaming & Torsion rig is owned by a guy (whose name I can't remember) that has a shed out at Lawnton and who was building replica Ferrari P6's (IIRC - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). Of course, here's some piccies....

And yes I probably should fabricate my own B & T test rig...there's not that much to them. Probably more money in buying all the dial gauges.

You have an amazing eye for detail. I love all of your work! Where is that now?

Thanks Boags :D .

I think the Canstel Clubman is in storage at his mothers place.

Soon Hammer. Will try and get the final instalment (March 2008 - as I haven't touched it since) posted this weekend.

It's a 330 P4 replica. Oh and it's porn too. Here's the real deal.

Blown away

Postby GAGE » Mon May 26, 2008 5:03 pm

Mate, I'm only new to this forum but I'm totally blown away by this car!

Did the Renesis front crossmember bolt up without modification?

If I could find a wrecked one in Oz it would make a great streeter...

Believe me when I say "you will need a whole RX-8 to do the job properly."

i cant wait for your car to be finished. i propose a \"rotor-off\" between our two cars :P i would love to see how we compare, considering yours is slightly heavier but more powerful (probably).

keep us updated.
