alarm installation

Postby silvermiata » Sat May 24, 2008 7:30 pm

i have just purchased an alarm, and will put it on... question is do i have to put an actuator in the door? can i use the factory actuator and just tap into its wires?

has anyone done this before?

i have been looking at the wiringdiagrams on the net and all of them says i need an actuator in the door to connect the central locking which is a pita....

thanks guys

yup apparently you need an actuator in the door

because the ones in the mx5 I'm told are sensors or something

I've got one here if you want it

just learned the hard way .. yes anyone who wants to put remote central locking (with or without alarm) needs to add an actuator on the drivers side door as tight a** mazda only put a switch instead of actuator on the drivers door...

hassles...
