Philips would love the plug- they along with Osram were the leaders in auto light sources and ( standard) are extensively used in OE lighting. There is actually nothing much wrong with the NA lights if in good condition and higher wattage esp for low beam is just not necessary. Pleased it worked out- good lights are so important.

Matty you got a result and thats fine and we try different things- some more successful than others. I think Bensale's endorsement is valuable because it produces a result and stays fully legal. I had a bit of dig around and learnt that Osram will be releasing a +90% h4 60/55 ( will be called Nightbreaker) in a few mths. I imagine this will be worth consideration for better performance. I have been told that H4's std have around 1650 hour life but light drops off after 1000 but yr eyes tend to compensate and not notice this. PS high watt bulbs generate lots of heat and lab tests show a big drop off after initial use. Incidentally I have no business affiliation with Philips or Osram

I have \"plus 50's\" in both my car and bike and I'm quite happy with the results, especialy on my bike. Even though the stockie globes were Philips and only 18 months old the +50's made a big difference. The light output was whiter and there was much more light towards the end of the beam.

Has anyone tried Philips Xtreme Power bulbs with an NA?
Wondering if i should bother buying them.. In my experience buying expensive bulbs are hit or miss..
