Lightweight 15x7 rims?
Does anyone know where is the best place to get LIGHTWEIGHT 15x7 rims (6kg or less), without having to sell an arm and a leg?
I am after a wide offset for my track only car. Around +10 or similar.
I've called a zillion wheel places (incl mx5mania & NPower) and most only do +40 (+33 at best) and/or 15x6.5, and seem to think I should be happy with that...
The best prices I can get are from USA, (949racing, 18racing) which even with shipping work out cheaper than here, but I want to make sure they fit before purchasing and I obviously cant do that with american orders...
TIA

best wheels I can think of in that range are the below.
http://www.perfectrun.com.au/performanc ... TC105N.htm
this weds one is forged and comes in a great offset of +20
http://www.perfectrun.com.au/performanc ... nCRKai.htm
this one i don't think is forged but it looks the goods and is about half the price with +27 offset.
Postage for these would be around 300 dollars so you could get the work rims delivered for about 1200 in total and you will have nice japanese brand name rims.
if this offset is not suitable invest in some wheel spacers.

16bit, Thank you for the info.
I was kind of hoping to find a local Melb supplier, so I can test for fitment before spending my hard earned dollars.
I'm running big brakes, and not all 15s will fit (eg Simmons) so I need to ensure they do fit first, before I order them and get stuck with rims I cant use...
I do have bolt on spacers at the moment with the heavy +38s, but was hoping to get away from them as I've never been that excited by using them, and its 1kg per wheel extra I don't need, especially when I only have N/A 4 cyl power, every bit counts.

Matty,
thanks for the reply.
Again its a US site, which means I cant test fit them first to see if they fit.
If I have to go US then I'll prob get 949racings 6UL rim. 5.9kg for a +10 rim (ideal offset for me) $950 landed on my door..
Their ITA spec rim is only 5.1kg but only comes in +25. I'd prefer the +10 even if I have to cop the extra .8kg.

I know they are in Sydney, but Tempe Tyres are now the importers of Lenso wheels, which are quite light and are now quite affordable.
They have a big range, and Sam from Tempe will also bring in special wheels for you at a very reasonable price.
Some years ago, I wanted to buy these particular wheels for my Mercedes, and the only place I could get them was from the USA at US$1200 a wheel including air freight.
Sam got them for me, in under a week, and all I paid was $1300 for the set of 4 including freight, fitting and balancing!
He even threw in a set of lock nuts.
