Postby marky210 » Thu May 15, 2008 10:37 pm

Hi guys :D

I have come accross some wheels and just wanted to see what peoples view is on the size and how or if they will fit my NB8A :?: :P

They are: 17x8 +19 offset and 17x8 +14 offset centre hole on the rims are 57mm.

Mark :P

In two words Mark...no chance! Offset is the biggest issue! 15x7 +33 offset barely fit with 205/50R15 rubber.

Sorry,
Danny

be prepared to do some fender rolling with a high possiblility of scrubbing at full lock, but it can be done, dont know about the center hole though.
make the car fit the wheels, not the other way around!!

post some pics!

59.1mm on an mx5.

In regards to offset and rim width though, I hope your have your guards rolled and some camber at a minimum. I'm always running 2 degrees + camber, have stiff Tein Monoflex and have rolled guards and I can get rubbing on 215/40/17 road tyres when braking hard going down steep hills. Those wheels are +35 offset 7.5\" wide. Yours are slightly wider and offset further out....

For reference I actually had to roll my guards because of 205/50/15 semi-slicks getting gouge marks. Those wheels are +35 offset as well, the semi's are just 224mm wide I think.

I'm sure you can do it but I'd say you'll have compromises to make you don't particularly want in a street car.

Thanks for the replys guys :D

I pretty much knew that they would be a verry tight fit and that scrubbing would be a big issue :frown: Im not the best workin out offsets and if they will fit but these are the puppies im in lurve with!!! One of the Sexiest wheels i my books-WORK MEISTER S1 8) JDM Goodness

Ive got Tien SS and my ride is pretty stiff and from what i can see these will need alot of work to fit but it can be done you think......

Whoah nice rims. Just make them fit. Look at some american forums, they seem to be able to fit crazy wheels in there.

I have 16 X 7 +25 offset with 205...and no probs at all. I didn't roll the fender either.

8 inch wide max is around +30's

looks like a car from clubroadster. Possibly ask the people there to find out how to fit those wheels.

Yep, that black NB is from Clubroadster, I did asked him before...its 16 X 8 Offset+ 9...yes 9!!!

Plenty of work... rolling, camber and fender pulling to make that fit.
