G’Day all,
I am new to the forum and have tried to search this section for the answer, unfortunately without luck.
Chasing some information about seats and I am hoping that someone may have the answers that I need.
1. Are the seats from all year model of MX5 the same? If not what are the differences.
2. What is the distance between the seat runners – that is left to right spacing?
I thank you for your time.
Cheers
Jeff.

Welcome to the forum Jeff!
The seats are definitely not the same..
Have a look in the "MY car" section of the forum. There are plenty of pictures that show the differences in NA, NB8A, NB8B, SE/SP and NC seats..
Pretty much, they gradually become bigger with each generation, and each generation usually has cloth and leather options.........
Can't help you with question two.
Hope that helps.

Welcome Jeff.
There is a shop in Brisbane: www.MX5Plus.com.au
Richard, the owner, is a font of knowledge regarding questions like yours.
In addition to what Sliq stated:
- 1st generation MX-5 seats have places in the headrest for speakers. Speakers only came in certain Limited Edition/Special Edition models
- the latest gen MX-5 has completely different shaped whereas previous models have similar shaped ones.
- there are differences in runner dimensions in all generations of cars (sorry but I don't know measurements.
Cheers
Andrew

G’Day all,
And thank you for your responses – still do not know the answer but the ideas have at least pointed me in the right direction:
Sliq – Good thought to look through the posted photos – that was helpful. After going through them all I think that the seats in either the NA8A or NB8A should suit my needs.
1red5 - I think Richard at www.MX5Plus.com.au might be my best source of information I will email him tomorrow.
Mr Morlock – GOOD GUESS!!!
NMX516 and 1red5 – Thanks I needed the extra “head acheâ€
Again thanks for the super quick responses – I am sure that I will have further questions in the future.
Cheers
Jeff.
