Anyone one knows ?? Ticking noise from the clutch !!!

Postby maxmx5 » Fri May 09, 2008 11:35 am

Hi Guys,

I got a high pitch ticking noise from the clutch, it happens when the car is on idle, and as soon as you tap the clutch the noise goes away, all it need is a very gentle tap or put your foot on the clutch and the noise goes away !!

any one who has this issue in the past please advise ..

thank you very much :D

Probably thrust race- take it to clutch specialist for diagnosis.

Check that there is a small amount of grease on the end of the slave cylinder plunger where it contacts the clutch release lever.

What JBT said. Much cheaper than a clutch overhaul.
