Here it is (more pics added 10/05)
You may have noticed that last night I picked up my new toy. It's an Australian delivered 11/89 model. As I have previously said I have been half looking at SE and SP's for a couple of years but family committments and other hobbies were too restrictive.
I recently started looking again and came across this one on Sunday and just had to have it. The guy I bought it off has had it for a couple of years and spent a pocket full on it. In two years he only put 5k on the clock and I think most of that was driving to various places for restoration.
Mechanically it's pretty standard, just got extractors and 2\" system. The interior is as clean as the outside with numerous new parts.
The first thing I would like to do is dampers and springs, then who knows (but I have a few ideas....there's no shortage of suggestions around here)
Anyway here's a couple of pics I took with my phone. Hopefully will get a chance to take a few more on the weekend.
Comments and ideas welcome.
Cheers
Mark

Apart from the obvious body resto and wheels he had spent alot on the original drive train (all still original).
Interior wise he replaced nearly everything. The seats are perfect so I can only think these were done sometime before he got it. New interior parts include : momo wheel, late model gear nob, door trims, speaker grills, carpets (floor and parcel shelf), instrument cluster, stainless scuff plates, chrome hoops, new rear window in soft top, ashtray and various little bits. It looks like a new car inside .
He has kept a complete record of everything he spent down to small screws. Lets say if he saved his money he could almost have got an SP.
Under the bonnet and in the boot still look a bit shabby as he wasn't very mechanically minded so I will have to do a bit of work here. (after the suspension)
