Ben Sale's white 1990 NA6

Postby bensale » Sun Feb 10, 2008 12:50 pm

1990 Na6 with an April 1990 built date (same as myself :D )
Mechanically pretty much stock with the exception of advancing the timing to 14 degrees.

Modifications:

NB8B wheels with Toyo T1Rs
Na6 wheels with Potenza re001s
Bilstein shocks
King springs (30mm lower)
Fat Cat Motorsport bump stops
hardtop
OEM front lip
IL motorsport clear parts
brushed aluminum vent rings
alarm (central locking with remote start)
Sony stereo, kenwood speakers
Momo montecarlo 350mm wheel
Voodoo gear knob
Chassis bracing (front and rear subframe, seat belt tower and front strut)
bee sting aerial
97 dash facia with cubby
Lights on buzzer, de foamed seats (more supportive), modified ashtray, sticker number plate
mx5cartalk and MX-5 club vic sticker :D

You just have to love mx5's and the way it puts a smile on your face everytime you drive it!

Nice car, I love the look of the hardtop, and if the weather is anything like sydney has been over the last few weeks then it's nicer to drive as well (I can't stand the sound of rain on the soft-top, reminds me of camping out in the rain :( )
you could paint the lower sills white as well to give it a lower look

Thanks guys. White NA's FTW! (ps: wheres some pics of your car Alfa dog)

I dont know about lowering it quite yet as I like the drivabily of the stock ride hight, I don't want to crawl over speed bumps. Although lowered an inch to 1.5 inches would be pretty good, what would be the best value for money way of doing that?

And the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of the painted sills, I shall look into that, probebly with some of those front mud flaps too (if I can find any).

Yes Ben you should come along on a Thursday night. Haven't met you yet and would like to check out your car. And Doogle you don't have to be a p plater to come along and check out cheap mods (as well as expensive ones) although we are getting more p platers coming along. We only have 1 old fart and he is on holidays *eek runs and hides before Rodders gets back*. Anyway nice car Ben and look forward to seeing it sometime

Cheers guys. I've been planning on coming for a while, its just thats its a 45 minute drive from my place, which is a bit of a pain. I'll probebly try to come in maybe two weeks time.

Checking out cheap (and expensive) mods is always fun, and it would be great to meet you guys and check out your cars :D So i'll be there eventually (and i'll try to make it an evening where there is a good crowd)

And thanks for the compliments on the car 8)
