SE Lip on a NA????

Postby RaYmO » Wed Apr 30, 2008 11:45 pm

Got bored... was thinking about other options for an aftermarket lip for my NA (aside from the OEM & Garage Vary)

One idea that came to mind was whether or not it's possible to mount the SE lip onto the NA nose.

A Q for SE owners... is front lip of the SE models is a separate component that is bolted onto the standard NB nose?

Edit... I got bored this morning so I decided to do a bit of Photochopping with my car:

Thoughts?

Yes it is

not sure if it could be retrofitted onto an NA though

It is seperate but is designed to fit the NB8B nose and probably wont even fit the NB8A.

You could chop one up in hope you could make it fit but it might end up looking dodgy if you cut too much

Next time someone with a stock NA nose is over i'll do a test fit for you and take some photos.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

MX5Plus has a complete fibreglass bumper, for an NA, that incorporates some sort of NB bottom-half.
If I go there this Saturday, I'll take piccies.

I've been looking forward to seeing pics of this, I think they were using the NB8B lower bit so an SE lip would fit it.

The plan was to use the NB8B lower half, so the SE lip should fit. I always thought that would be a great idea for a replacement front bar...
