Appears these do indeed fall under the free trade agreement, just need to get FM to sign off on a declaration to say they comply.

Not holding my breath for delivery prior to the weekend but we live in hope :D

Excellent news 8)
I take it this means they'll fall below the worst case scenario pricing?

How much is the payable GST? 10% of what the braces are worth isn't it.

Yep, but you have to include the shipping component too in that (approx $50ea I suppose).

Just called FM and have sent the form over, have asked \"really nicely\" if they can look at it today for us so we can possibly have them for the weekend.

Everyone has PM's on the customs charges - I've paid up front to keep things moving. We'll get delivery early next week.

FWIW these have ended up costing us $570 each in total :D

and for the armchair import experts :P :P - the free trade agreement applied - no Duty payable!

Awesome, something to do while my turbo is stuck at customs.

Darryl, what did you have to do to not pay duty with free trade agreement?

Not a lot, you just need a declaration from the supplier stating that the goods were produced in the USA from originating materials, actually the freight company did all the broking for us and forwarded me a word doc that FM just had to fill in.

The braces fell under the scheme except for the nuts/bolts /washers, appears as they were less than 5% of the cost it wasn't worried about.

My business is in Auburn, else I'll take em home to Kellyville.

Marcus and Sasso will be better sorted if I take them home, not sure about the others, just let me know.
