Bump Stops
Hello All, I have just fitted a set of FATCATMOTORSPORTS 46mm linear bump stops. My 1.8 NA has AGX's set on 4 all round with Pedders springs and a 13inch ride height with a Whiteline front sway bar. I was using cut down factory bump stops. The difference the FCM's items made is remarkable. The ride, steering and handling have improved considerably, you can now feel the suspension working patricularly in the rear.Worth every penny.Try their Web site

A set of FCM bump stops have been on my 'to do' list for a while as well. How much did the shipping set you back Steve??
Also did you have any luck emailling them or did you just phone up? I sent them an email a couple of weeks ago then noticed that the website mentioned phone is the prefered contact method.

Hey ladies,
Yes I installed a set of 46mm FCM bumpstops on my car about a year ago, they made the ride alot smoother. The car used to bottom out on the standard bumps quite alot, but now it very rarely happens. Im running bisteins/kings so the ride was prety harsh before I installed the bumps. You can really feel the extra travel in the rear suspension. IIRC They cost me around $110 posted to my door.

Is this just an NA thing or does it apply to NB aswell??
Mazda changed the design of the top hats on the rear shocks on the NB to allow more suspension travel but if your NB is lowered then you will get some advantage out of these new bumps stops. Though there isn't much extra travel available in the front unless you remove the plastic inner guard liner.
aren't the stock bumpstops integrated into the dust cover boots?
On the NA the bump stops are integrated with the dust boots, on the NB they are seperate. Fatcat sells a dust boot/bump stop package for NA's.
Have a look at their website for details

Currently have these on my NA6 and can't fault anything about them. Importing these bumpstops worked out cheaper than the factory bumpstops. And with the current conversion rate, you guy's buying them now will be well and truly cheaper than Mazda's!
