I think the going rate for an NB is around $2000- maybe a little less and if I remember correctly this was for an OE unit. They do make your car easier to live with and a good selling point. Anyway pls take this as ball park and shop around.

can NA aircon be retrofitted to NB?

$2000 seems hella expensive.

$1775. but all factory options are rip offs of what you should actually pay

i dont understand how someone bought this car n didnt get it with a/c... yes yes it weighs a bit but he left is standard so he wasn tplanning on racing it much.. and this is perth where we have 43+degree summers..

You only use it maybe 2-3 weeks in a year.

The rest of the time I just have the top down.

HeEheEHeEHeeheEhe Wun you need to come visit Perth !

I'll ask around, one of the W.A. forum members might have a spare aircon with his NA8 halfcut.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I was hoping Craliaz would get back to us and tell us the outcome.

Ring Richard at MX5 Plus in Brissie, he might be able to rip out a system from a car brought in. I got mine for the Clubman from him and all up inc fitting by Mazda it worked out at just under a grand inc new bits.

Cheers

Mania usually have some sets floating around, as does Boyracer.
