just want to know what the feeling is on pedders sports ryder suspension, thinking about getting some?

:cry: Hi. In my humble opinion you can do a lot better. MX5Plus sells good used factory Bilsteins. Far better and cheaper.

can anyone on here comment between the suspension on a standard NB8B/C and the suspension on the SE? how do the bilsteins compare?
i can't brain today.. i have the dumb..

In my humble opinion, stay well away from the Pedders gear.

Some of the guys here have had success with KYB AGX shocks and either King or Eibach springs. You should be able to get a full set of KYB's for approx $500 from the US, then maybe $300 for some Kings, probably about $400 to $500 (? someone correct me if I'm wrong) for some Eibach's...

Well of course you can do better. You can do a hell of a lot better than a Koni or AGX or Tein also, if you have the money. Penske, Ohlins, DMS, etc. But that's not the point.

And with a popular brand, of course it's more likely that you'll see a failure once in a while, that's just probability.

With the number of people who discuss such equipment being so low, it's very hard to form a valid argument for or against.

Matty raises a very valid point..

Don't forget to take into consideration what the car will be used for..

There's no point buying PSS9's if its only a street car and you don't intend to take it down to the track...

The Pedders in my old Skyline weren't much chop. I had the sports ryder and

1. wasn't impressed with the handling \"improvement\" over the dead stocko shocks(electro 80's soft/med/sport thingies)

2. The rear shock was leakin' after 13mths or so and the car hardly got dríven

That funny shock tester thing that makes your car jiggle around to test your shocks seems like a bit of a crock to me (but I aint no expert)
