NB8B Number Plate Tattoo

Postby Stu » Fri Apr 25, 2008 12:45 am

Whats the best way of fixing the dreaded number plate tattoo from someone reversing into my 5?

Has anyone done a guide on how to correct the paint on the bar?

Yes, take it to a panel beater and pass the bill on to the clown that backed into you!!!!!!!!
Hope it's not too bad Stu. Must have put a dampener on a good night. 8)

Stu you asked for a fix. I guess it depends on how bad it is but it is possible to get the paint matched sometimes off the shelf and in pressure pack cans. I recently did some painting on side trims and bumper on a Festy and was quite surprised at how well it turned out - an improvement. Painting the whole bumper is best left to a pro with an oven. Have a look on the net or the library- spot repairs are often explained in detail. Even the local auto paint shop might take a look and give you some pointers.
