Why on earth would you want to put a smaller, lighter, compact more powerful engine into a small, light, compact sports car

Don't you think mazda would know best.

Surely a ford laser engine has to be the better choice for a sports car

Now where'd i put that damn donations tin.

The US kit is for LHD cars which involves a different rack to RHD. My understanding one of the major problems to fitting another motor to a RHD mx5 is the position of the rack.

if your gonna put a 13b turbo into an mx5 you gotta put it on Methanol. We are still in the early stages of getting the base tune in the car and its all ready pulling 400hp without full throttle. :P

not having a go at anyone here.

Just saying that Mazda, are too controlled by Ford, in a non-serious kinda way

They have one of the best sports cars ever made, and one of the best sports car engines ever made. But do they put them together to make a car that will rival any porsche or ferrari. NO

There aint nothing wrong with the BP(Tons of Potential) way more than i expected before i got one

Got me thinkin which is the better way an easy 200kw from a BP turbo total weight 1100kg or 184kw Renesis weighing 1000kg if done right.

Threads like this should help work out how easy and properly done, a Rotary swap may be

I have \"fantasised\" about this many times....
I was well down the planning path for doing a PRB clubman with a renesis before my wife \"made me\" buy an MX5......

She is good for me:)
