Folks,

Does anyone have a junked 1.6 or 1.8 in Melbourne?

I'm after some temporary access to a 1.6 or 1.8 motor, as part of adapting another motor to an MX5 gearbox.

I really just want to match up an adaptor I'm making to the rear of the block. It would be handy to have the crank and sump in place.

Even if I could just come around to your place a couple of times & measure things up, that would be enormously helpful.

Hoping you can help - thanks - Gavin.

Gavin, I live in Belgrave, work in Mt Waverely. I currently have the bottom end of my spare 1.8 on an engine stand at Mt Waverley. The head is off.
If that suits, let me know. It wont be here for long.

Still have a power ported NB8B Manifold, ideal for forced induction

Thanks to the respondents.
I've come up with a way of adapting the box + motor that means I won't need an MX5 motor after all.
Gavin.
