Possible to remove rear badges on an NB8C?

Postby PASHN8 » Tue Mar 11, 2008 2:38 pm

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if the 'MAZDA' and 'MX-5' rear badges on an NB8 series MX-5 bolted to the rear beaver panel with holes underneath them, or are they just stuck on using double sided adhesive tape?

I believe they are stuck on, no holes. If you remove the rear boot lining you should be able to confirm if there are any holes. There have been some threads on the USA forum on how to remove them....something like heating with a hair dryer to soften the glue and then cut with something thin, like fishing line.

Will check it out, thanks Juffa! :) Would like to de-badge the SE to clear up the rear end, far too busy with 3 badges on such a small rear panel!

They are drilled though the panel. The badges have spigots and are kept in place by special washers that grip the spigot once they are pressed on. :frown:
