Actually I only waxed the car a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to get a good piccy of my Pistacheo Pear in full Autumn colour refelecting on the car's bonnet and windscreen for this month's photo comp. Just can never seem to get it when the sun's angle is best and now its going to be overcast for the rest of the week.

I reckon some of yours would be contenders.

Here's my white car after 4 hours of Cleaning, clay baring, waxing and shoe polishing the soft top.
Looks pretty much the same as it was before I washed it
Love how the water just beads off it in the rain though. Clay bar FTW!

thats the one thing i dont like about the NXT wax...the water doesnt bead at all....it just sticks to the paint...

which wax did u use ?

Good ol turtle wax.

hmm i have a couple bottles of turtle wax lying around...last time i tried it my shoulder almost fell off trying to buff it out...so hard!

turtle wax is GREAT stuff, always has been.........but you have to be VERY careful using it on a black car, do very small sections at a time..............or yes, your arm will fall off trying to buff it off

I've done heaps of cars sing AutoGlym.

I started using it cause I was getting it free, but Ikept using it cause I find it easier to use than just about anything else, and it gives a great finish. Will have to dig out some photos of cars I've done.

Watch this space though, there is an unbeleivable new product about to hit our shores, I've seen some samples and it's so far above meguiars/autoglym etc.

Will keep you updated as I hear more.

I've only seen/used thier equivalent to meguiars quick detail/ autoglym instant show shine, and the general clear coat safe polish/cleaner.

The quick detailer was better than anything I've used, the polish/cleaner was good with hand application and easy to use, I didn't get to bring any home to test with a buff or machine. saw a whole bunch of the products used by thier staff and all appeared VERY good. IIRC they do have a black car specific product.

I can't speak on the specifics cause I dont know them, but I get the feeling they will be less gimmicky then meguiars and have a more down to earth style of product, they feel the product is good enough tht they dont need fluro colours all over it to make all the kids buy it.

Like I said, when/if I hear more I'll let you know. Just to be clear I have no interest financial or otherwise, just looks like a good product to me, if it turns out to be crappy I'll say so.

The easiest products I've ever used are Duragloss Aquawax and Duragloss 105 sealant.



Aquawax - Spray on after rinsing (and sheeting most of the rinse water off) and dry off with a microfibre cloth/towel. It actually seems to help dry off the car. It can also be used after the car has been dried. It's a spray on sealant and lasts much longer than a wax.

Duragloss 105 sealant - wipe on and buff off when dry.



Good to use as a base for extra protection and will last for 6-12 months depending on how much time the car is out in the weather.

I have been using Autoglym Super resin polish, and Extra Gloss protection over the top.. The extra gloss lasted for months and the water was still beeding nicely, when I detailed the car the other day...






This is how the paint came up, after a little ScratchX, Resin polish, and Gloss protection. Not bad for white..
