R-spec tyres for NC?

Postby DavidM » Mon Mar 31, 2008 11:52 pm

What R-spec tyres are there that come in the NC's 205/45/17 size? It seems like almost everyone has 205/40/17 tyre, but not 205/45/17.
Regards,
David

I’m running 225x50x16s. Cheaper than 17s and with the 8” rim weighs is only 0.5 kg over the standard 17” tyre and rim. Overall circumference is almost the same as the OEM wheel.

Yep, Series 6. 16 x 8 with a 50 offset.

DavidM, why are you worried about running a 40 series tyre?

You will have better acceleration from the 3.2% lower rolling length running a 40 series tyre.

I know Chris (MX5Racing) is running D02s, either in a 215/45 or 225/45, why not drop him a line and ask his advice?
