The BRN/YEL wire goes to the coil pack driving plugs 1 and 4, and BRN other goes to the other two.
When you say it won't run - does giving it a little bit of throttle help it to run? On a few times I've been troubleshooting the car not starting properly and it turned out it just needed some temporary assistance from the throttle to 'clear' itself out.
