Sam electrics was correct 10 seconds of nube status...

I saw some interesting light weight mods that winton weekend

Is the formula for weight reduced vs time saved -46kg = 0.03 sec?

I noticed better times with an almost empty tank of petrol (maybe from experience aswell)?

I need -15333kg to eliminate my 10 seconds of nube status :?:

Next time I go the the track I will weigh and record everything that goes into or comes out of my car. (Im a daily driver dont expect tons)
Pain to remove but woth the effort

I think its considered un sprung weight must be worth the effort. Front dust shield remain on the car, as it scoops air.

I hope monotube construction is light weight we will find out soon enough, however stock might be leaking oil wich could make a discrepency.

The difference is apparent, a GB for wood knobs would be benifical.

Weight of stock MX5 battery (panasonic) 9.514 kg
Dimensions are 16cm tall, 23.5 cm wide, 12.5 cm deep

Weight of stock MX5 rear suspension 3.933 kg

Weight of stock MX5 front suspension 4.608 kg

I have saved a total of 1.5 kg in the weight of suspension im quite happy with that result.

i weighed myself yesterday i have ballooned out to about 95kg.... i need to go on a diet ASAP before the next track day ! :lol:

i'm already booked for the 6th volunteering at a car show to raise funds for the club.

but i will loose some weight and see you again on the track some time soon !

i wiegh about 96kgs also.. a diet would probably be a good idea.

but i like wun's idea of just making all the opposition fat better

I set my fastest times when I was excess of 125kg

It was interesting that it was slightly faster than a 65kg driver in the same model car...
