Aztien, I am going through the EXACT same predicament as you and it is driving me nuts!
I am trying to find a way to efficiently fit a 10\" sub in my NB8C boot, whilst still retaining access to the spare tyre (a flat on the GOR wouldn't be fun without it!).

I emailed FHRX in regards to if they would sell the same side mount fitout in pieces to interstate MX-5 owners for us to have fitted up ourselves, will report back!

I also emailed Karatan enclosures in NSW who make custom corner enclosures as to whether they would do a cheap run of sealed FG enclosures to suit NB MX-5 if we provided a donor car for the fitout.

Ducktape, do you have any dimensions and pics of your actual sub enclosure out of the car?

Will keep you all posted! :)

I spoke to a store nearby and they said they've fitted an 8" Focal to the boot and apparently sounds perfect

yeah looking forward to the answer

they would probably need someones 5 to get the molding etc

FHRX made a new boot carpet so the factory one didn't need to be cut

I am looking for a good solution to have more space in the boot with the sub in as well.

Aztien, where are you located?

Who in NSW would be willing to let the fabricator use their car for exact measurements to make these boxes? I would use my SE, but i'm in Melbourne :(

This was my custom option for no room wasted in the boot.

I've got a hard top and my car is rarely dríven so i removed my soft top and stored it.

The box fits perfectly, bolting through existing holes into the boot. 2 ports one behind each seat head rest. Creates fantastic sound even doing 110 with the roof off.
