SM wrote:5 frame rails $230AU ea plus GST (worst case $300ish).

5 butterfly braces: $482AU ea plus GST (worst case - $600ish)

so those prices are without shipping right???

No, they include shipping, GST is 10% so adding it at todays AU$.

Frame rails are approx AU$253.

Butterfly brace is approx AU$530

Trying to build in some buffer for currency fluctuations so am suggesting a worst case including shipping and GST of approx $300AU for the rails and $600 for the brace. These prices are delivered to one address in Sydney too, so keep that in mind if your not in Sydney.

If your interested start a list and put your name down with either frame rails or butterfly brace. Least we'll have some definate numbers to work with.

Might be worth giving the customs office a ring to be on the safe side re:duty... :/

I agree with Alfadog too. A phone call isn't expensive, and might save us a world of grief when it comes time to pick them up.

May as well bring the whole thing over even if I don't use it.

I'll contact FM and see if we can split the bill up and each forward separate C/C details, its quite an amount and I'm not too keen on collecting that amount of $$ myself. With regard to those worried about added duty payable I've allowed for an extra 10% in the worst case scenerio pricing, shouldn't happen but if it does we're covered.

Under the AUSFTA, trade in automotive parts and accessories between Australia and the United States became tariff free from 1 January 2005.

I believe AUSFTA relates to business trade.

FWIW Duty, GST and customs clearance fees will add up to more than 10%... still in though!

As for the extra $30 off, it's worth asking about if people don't care about the logo or whatnot. I reckon it's worth saving $30 considering you won't ever see the damn thing. Hell, you could even pass it off as a limited release :P

Notice Alfadog is in Melbourne, and Frididity doesn't show a location

At this point these will be delivered to my business address in Sydney, happy for people to either arrange a separate ship from FM to their area, else arrange for shipping to their location from Sydney. Its going to be a rather and heavy package it appears.

Customs clearance is definately included in the shipping quotation that I've been given by FM. For those perceiving dramas, the worst case scenerio I've applied of $600AU for the butterfly braces should cover at least 20% extra cost for any blowouts in dollars/duties/GST (although I still maintain we'll be ok for duty) - that is unless the $$ moves a lot (down 3¢ overnight, hope we get lucky). Soon as I get a reply from FM I suggest we get this going.

I will lose out on the savings made on shipping costs but I think it might be easier if I just have mine sent directly to Melbourne? If that's possible with FM?

Cool. Once we have a final costs figure, I'll give you the all clear on my end. Just let us know and we'll be right to roll :)
