Dave, I was a little reluctant to put a photo of the engine bay cause, as you can see it's a dog's breakfast.
The intake is just a straight pipe with a lot of silicon bits surrounding it for heatshielding.
And how good are your eyes!! ....that pointy bit with the Mazdaspeed sticker on it, is just part of the carbon fibre heat-shield. I had a few Mazdaspeed stickers lying around that would end up getting thrown away or forgotten so I just stuck it on.

Just get one of us to send you the mx-5 repair manual, start by popping the bonnet of you car and identifying all the different parts.
Once you know what is which you can focus one what they all do.
Soon you'll be CAI'ing so your AFM will work better with your CAS mods.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Not since I've installed the MegaSquirt mate.
I'm going to take some time off work soon to arrange dyno time at both the place I did it last time, and at Gary Stewart's.

Awww thanks....
And to think that a little less than two years ago, she was dead-stock and back then I would have fainted at the thought of modifying her even the slightest bit.
I've owned Rosanna for nigh on 10 years now.
