I have tried almost all the mothod's mentioned and have since been put onto my own.
Auto Glym, do two types, one is a spray and is bloody useless.
but they also do a glass polish, i have never ever seen anything clean glass like this, it's the same principal as a paint polish, put it on, work it in then buff out.
my windscreen was old and chipped but i had no idea how chipped until i used this stuff. try it out guys, u will never ever use news paper or metho again.

Agreed - I got a little bottle of thois ages ago, t lasts for ever cause you dont have to use much. Pretty sure Mania stock it for anyone in Syd.
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.

Right. Gave the car a wash today (finally... after two weeks... it was getting dirty with all that rain) and used the microfibre on the glass. It's looking a lot more streak free than with the chamois already.
I won't be driving it again til Tuesday though, so we'll see what the results of the microfibre wipe down are. The good thing is that it's in the garage so it won't get (too) dirty in the interim.
