TCRs NA8 Race Car

Postby SKYHI » Sun Mar 02, 2008 7:11 pm

Well here she is. This will eventually be a 2F car and I'll be joining the guys and girls on track up here in QLD and selected interstate events. Stock at the moment with 138,000 ks on it. Took it to the local dump today to get a starting weight on the weighbridge. Came in at 1020 kg with the hardtop, softop and 1/4 tank of fuel. Will keep updating this post as the transformation to race car goes. First on the list a full cage and tyres and wheels.

Paul.

Te he. except for the wheels and the gear knob, I'd swear you posted pics of my NA8 clubman.

What are the required ingredients to make a 2F car?

Initially I didn't understand why that was funny as I'd been led to believe that lowmaita actually frequented the track regularly. However now I believe his car is not really your average track car

Basically, a cage, seat, harness, fire extinguisher, approved tyres, oil catch can etc.

Thats too nice to be stripped out as a track car.

The top pic almost makes me want to put my Clubman back to standard

Well I spent a good couple of hours one night last week taking out all the air con. There must be 15kg worth of stuff here.

New race seat fitted.

It's been dropped off to have the cage done, I'll post more pictures when that's done.

Can't believe no one's asked this, but would you sell the bits you stripped off?
