Doesn't matter how often you do this run, it's still an all time favourite.
We did it again today in the 10AE & had lunch at Marysville, followed by a lovely walk to Steavenson Falls. Only got back home an hour ago & I can still feel the big grin on my old face........this car is bloody unreal!

Good luck with your projects

I was fortunate enough to be able to drive Black Spur, Lake Mountain, Reefton Spur and Mt Donna Buang recently. For mr Black Spur was fantastic - great surface etc but there was traffic. The best I was able to do was about four fifths of the way up before encountering traffic. Donna Buang was pretty good too (but I was too chicken to climb the observation tower)
IMO Reefton (and Lake Mountain) are definitely for the more adventurous - far more challenging and the road surface is not as good as Black Spur

I agree with Col. I drove Black Spur several times and enjoyed every trip (permanent grin). Marysville is a nice town (very quiet in the summer season) and Steavenson Falls is an enjoyable and fairly short walk

living in Euroa has it's advantages. lots of mountain roads very close by. i drive the Black Spur about every second week & i don't get sick of it. best time is very early in the morning, you miss the traffic but you do need to be careful of the damp roads.

went for a drive through the Black Spur the other day, first time in a couple of months & it was sh*t. They've changed the bloody speed limit to 80kph & it's now one of the most boring drives you could do.
